Our Holiday Traditions (:

In our family we do the same things every year around Christmas time. We celebrate Christmas like a normal family would.Well for starters , usually we couldn't get a normal big tree we usally had to get a small one because of my dog, Brewzer . We couldn't handle it becuase my parents thought he would chew on it or pee on it , but now Brew is old enough to understand not to so we finally get a big normal tree (fake though :p) . After we put up the tree we decorate it with a lot of ornaments and then we put a star on top to complete all the scenery. Before Christmas Eve , Each family picks out a secert santa for the kids . Each family is supposed to spend up to $50 on christmas gifts for the kid you got as your Secert Santa .  On Christmas Eve,  Me,& My parents usually go to my mom's parents house with all my tons & tons of cousins . What we usaully do is hang out , then we eat dinner with all sorts of food & then after we eat dinner  we all sit in a big circle in our main families and my Grandma & My Aunts hand out all the presents and then we sit down and My Grandma does a tradition where we go in order from the youngest kids open the presents first then the oldest kids . Then on Actual Christmas we go to my Dads parents house or my dads Sisters house and we eat and then we all just open up our presents . Then we hang out and go home  (:

Hunger Games (Josh Hutcherson)

The Hunger Games comes out in march 2012. This is a movie about the book series "The Hunger Games" . Its based on having to survive these certain games . The movie is also staring Liam Hemsworth . The Hunger Games , i didn't read them so i don't know much about them but what i do know is its a series of games which you have one boy and one girl and if you win , you win your life. I just chose this movie because i like Josh Hutcherson as an actor and the movies he is in . The picture below on the left shows Josh hutcherson normally , as his normal self . On the right shows how he is going to be looking as "Peeta Mellark" in the Hunger Games. Josh has been in a few movies you might know such as Bridge to Terabithia , Journey to the Center of the earth ( which they are making a number 2 also with Josh) , Zathura and Firehouse Dog.  If i see the movie , which i probably will then i will review it so it seems like what its like Before seeing the "Hunger Games." and after seeing it . Which means i will have a lot more to say about the movie, when i understand it and know what it's about.

Sting Rays..

Some seniors and a few teachers went to the Aquarium . In this picture it shows that Seniors are petting sting rays. The who is The Seniors. The what is petting the sting rays . Where is at the Aquarium and When is sometime earlier in the month . My question is why didn't we know about this?  It seems as though even though they're seniors us juniors should have some kind of trip too . Who Knows what will happen in the future .

Why do i get mad?

The category i am choosing is smokers . I am choosing this because too me  Smoking is nasty . No matter what kind of smoking it is .Both of my parents smoke  and i think that it's just disgusting and it hurts brain cells to much . It is a main cause of cancer and i think its not necassary . I also believe that it SMELLS . Some people say they smoke because it relieves stress. Some people think its " cool " or whatever . Honestly its not . There is plenty of other ways to relieve stress and smoking isnt one of them . In this article http://www.naturalnews.com/smokers.html . It shows that smoking Increases Stress , not decresses it . So what now ? Go to worse drugs . . . thats not cool either  . Doing other drugs isn't cool either .  Well a fellow student... Says that she thinks its " F****** disgusting " . Those are the exact words she says about smoking . Now that you know how what an article says and what a student says . If you smoke ? Why do you do it ? Does it make you feel " cool , accomplished "  Whats the real reason? If you had to choose between the one that you love and your "love" for smoking would you loose that person , or would you seriously choose smokign over that? Think about it . . . If its that hard to choose then we obviously know your choice.

Yes, i am a little bit late for this topic but i felt like writing about it . Okay So i am not in journalism class but yearbook class . I was writing about uniforms because one of my questions on  paper is name 3 things you dislike about your school/community .  I obviously , put uniforms . Simply in my opinion and probably many other students dislike them . I think they're ugly ,uncomfortable , and expensive . $30 for pants? what  is this? seriously . We can't even express ourselves with seeing peoples different styles and the way they dress . I believe we should be able to express ourselves with out clothing style . We all have unique styles , outfits & shoes.  I think its unfair and we as the students should of had a vote either to have the uniforms not to not have them . If more students voted NO then NO we shouldn't have them or if more STUDENTS not teachers or faculty but students say YES hen we have them . It seems like the Board of Ed and the administration don't care about the students life and what students say . They just care about what THEY want .  If students have to wear them so should teachers ! Its simply not fair .

Things to write about when you dont know what to write

What to write when you don't  what to write? I'm in journalism class and i have no idea what to write. Theres a lot of things on my mind that i could write about but im not sure. Sometimes i feel like why write when nobodies going to read? but hey...maybe somebody will read my thoughts someday soon. Who Knows... Well today in class we had a little bit of a mis hap . However yopu spell it ... As everyone was settleing in and just about to start work a mouse walked through. Everyone was freaking out and standing on chairs and tables. It was a mad house in here and people were talking about it for some of the class. it was a very inreresting thing . People are over it now but i bet they will once more talk about it . I still do not know what to write so i think that i am going to stop now. Maybe i will find something to write about..like how people in class are now talking about if Chris Brown is Gay. I do not understand why i am listening to  this but i mean its kind of interesting . I personally think Chris Brown is not gay weither or not people care. The bell is going to ring about in 3 minutes so now i must stop . Ill check back up later.

Hey , Well Im just going to be talking about me. What else can i write about?  So Obviously my name is Mirissa Mantini. I am now 16 years of age (: . I am a Junior at Metro. Business Academy in New Haven . I have many different intrests , but when it comes to eating..I'm some what picky. Not too much though.So most of the time i like to  Hang out with my friends , Chillen , Relaxing . I love texting my friends and watching tv. I only watch certain shows like there are some shows reality some not. My favorite Reality shows are Jersey Shore , Keeping up with the Kardashians, The Voice ( its over know)  i like more regular shows i guess haha. My favorite shows are Awkward on MTV , That 70's Show , & Yeah im 16 but i do watch Nickelodean sometimes & Even Good Luck Charlie on DIsney Channel , i bet you guys do to sometimes its fine lol . Anamated shows , like those too just Adventure Time , Family Guy & South Park . One thing i really hate is when people get in my business, if i want you to know i would tell you. Theres only a few people i tell everything to and thats not all of  these other people.  Movies are another thing i love  , My favorite movies are Titanic , Dear John , Scream 4 , White Chicks,The Last Song , & Freddy Vs. Jason . Scary Movies don't bug me that much , unless its things like Paranormal Activity and movies like that . Comedys are funny too and i love the CLASSIC Disney Movies not the newer ones . Enough about my favorite movies and Tv Shows.. Food Yeaahh who doesnt love eating? am I right? lol . What else is there to say? My favororite Actress's , Actors & Singers? Well thats  easy . I L.O.V.E Eminem , Drake, Michael Jackson , Nicki Minaj , & a few more singers , Actors?  Shia Lebouef , Daniel Radcliffe, Channing Tatum , Justin Timberlake, Liam Hemsworth , Josh Hutcherson , OH i cant believe i almost forgot Taylor Lautner , BIG mistake. Because it is the Easiest Supject. She likes to wear  Skinny Jeans, High Tops & Cut Shirts .The music  She likes is  Nicki Minaj . Drake. Ke$ha. Lil Wayne , LMFAO & Pauly D.  She doesnt listen to any country music , rock music & Bon Jovi , Greyson Chance. She has no role model, goes by what she thinks .
